Correct. It's called economies of scale. Logistically much more stream lined.

there are exactly 2 companies int he entire world that are capable of perfomring all these task without massive subcontracting. One is Haliburton the other is a German company.
Like them or not if we are going to spend US dollars to do this stuff (which is the part that is debatable) we dammn sure need to spend it with an American company.

the point is that most of this reportedly went directly through the office of the VP.........
and sorry to say that Halliburton hit the map long before the Clinton years..........their govt. contracts were around a long time before wild Willie..............
I know ............i used to work for them.............

now if you really want to stick it to the Admin, I give you Don Rumsfield
lets talk about the long standing rumor that he serves on the board of directors of Asea Brown Boveri
and the fact that ABB designed the Nuclear power plant that North Korea is now holding over the heads of the world
or Rove who sold all his shares of Enron seconds before the collapse
Cheney you say? how about the 1991 awarding of a 5 million dollar contract to rebuild Kuwait after paying them a 3.9 million dollar consultant fee to fine the company that could do the job, they said us
then in 1995 he was named CEO and they buy a struggling Dressler company and absorb 9 million loses each of the next 2 years because of Dressler abestos problems
Dressler BTW was sold to Halliburton by Prescott Bush
The Rebuilding American Defense headed by William Kristol said America would need a Pearl Harbour like event to do it
Kristol became Chief of Staff to Dan Quayle
etc etc etc
all these things just laid out make it look bad

not I was just pointing out all the things that could said
the media never touches this stuff because as dammning at they sounds they are all run of the mill.
standard rule of thumb you associate with people int he same socio econmic class as you
my kids go to middle class day care, I work a middle class job, my wife does too, we have middle class friends, I do nto get to go hang out with the richest of the rich because one I cannot afford it and two I would nto feel comfortable letting them front me
the rich and power do business with the rich and powerful
I just wanted to point out some things that actually did happen and you never hear instead of just listening to conspracy that is 86% exhaggeration.

Man EO....you let the air out of my balloon. I thought for sure you hob-knobbed with the rich and famous. Actually, those whom you think make alot of money, are in debt up to their eye balls trying to keep up the charade. You may be suprised.
