again... I did not advocate the Texans taking him. my point was if anyone was going to take him that high... which, again... I thought was too high... I could see the Texans doing it, because they had no running game.
let me clarify something right now... I do not believe in taking RBs with top 10 picks in the draft. just me. I think their shelf lives are too short, and their chances of injury are too great, to risk a top 10 signing bonus for a rookie on. that is just my opinion. so I never think anyone should ever draft a RB in the top 10.
that said, based off of what the projections were at the time, I was just saying that I could see why, if the Texans did, even though I still would not agree with it. what I "advocated" the Texans do that year, was draft an Olineman, and stop worrying about Mel Kiper's rankings.
I was wrong, it is looking like, as Mario is looking like a beast. but if I was wrong, it was advocating they take a Olineman... not Reggie Bush.

To satisfy your request, however, here is one I found from June of that year. Now, I am sure if I look hard enough, I can find more. hopefully, you do not need me to do that. if so, I can when I get home, as opposed to right this second at work:
Reggie Bush overhyped?

this is not prior to him being drafted, btw... but it is prior to the season. I will see if I can find one prior to him being drafted, just to satisfy your specific request though...

dude scored a 6 on his wonderlick
if he broke down mentally it was a small break
seems friends and family called Coach Jeff Fisher directly when Young left his house with out his cell phone but with a gun, and coach Fisher called the cops.
“Given the totality of the situation, Coach Fisher was concerned about Young’s emotional well-being. He contacted the police department and expressed to us his concern,’’ Aaron said. “Once he came to Baptist Sports Park and was assessed, it appeared the concerns from earlier in the night were unfounded.’’
turns out he was watching MNF with a friend
career is just about done for a bowl game hero NFL zero
but hey he still has his sausage company

pictures with your shirt off with a bunch of dudes CHECK
emotional hissy fits downs that make you cry and your friends worry CHECK
a sausage company
hum ~ maybe the problem is not his play but the pressure to come out of his closet
if he was upset about his ability to QB in the NFL it cannot have made him feel better to watch young QBs Jay Cutler and Aaron Rodgers ripping apart defenses on TV

But he is a dud.....face it, I know how to assess QBs. You would look a lot smarter if you just agreed with me. He sucks. He is not a QB, he is a good athlete that gets the ball from the center....but at the NFL level being a good athlete is not enough. Ask Michael "I kill dogs" Vick.

I think any QB in the league could rip apart the Raiders.
