Cowboys News
Not really new news but there is no mention of it here. Incumbant starter as FS for the Cowboys Keith Davis has had a set back in his fight to retain his spot, Davis was shot twice.
While driving his car in Dallas Davis took a bullet in his leg and one to the back of his head. Davis is in good condition after both bullets cause non-life threatening grazing injuries. Davis is expected to make a full recovery his doctors said if camp started today he would be at camp today.
This is the second time in 2 years Davis has been shot.
Wild wild wild.

First thing I saw when I Tony Soprano'ed my paper off the driveway. I was like **** it. And the story makes absolutely no sense. So it is allegedly a 70 mph car jacking of a Chevy Impala? I don't get it. Who carjacks someone by shooting at them on the freeway? How does someone innocently get shot twice in 3 years. The odds have to be astronomical.
My guess is it was some kind of road rage confrontation that went to the extreme.

Keith Davis is living on borrowed time.
Hey but ont he same note 2 more times and he can challenge 50 Cent for rap supremacy as apparently being shot sells CDs much more than talent.

I heard the 911 tape on the radio today and it was bizarre. Some girl was driving him and the 911 operator was not being very patient to a guy who was shot in the head, and he was driving himself to the hospital and she wanted him to pull over so they could send an ambulence.
It was very surreal.

I found the transcript at Dallas Morning News:
Quote:
Transcript of Keith Davis' 911 call
07:24 PM CDT on Wednesday, July 19, 2006
911 Operator: Dallas 911, how can I help you?
Davis: I’ve been shot, in the back of the head...
911: Are you shot?
Davis: Yes I’m shot.
911: Ok, where?
Davis: I’m hit in the head and I’m hit in them leg.
[He gives a cellphone number to the operator.]
911: Where are you going to stop, sweetie, 'cause I need to know where to send police … an ambulance.
Davis: We’re going to get on 635…
911: No, I need you to stop.
Davis: I can’t stop, we’re going to exit on Josey right now…
911: I need you to pull over and stop.
Davis: We’re going to make it to Josey. I’ve been shot in the leg and the bullet grazed my head
911: OK, I need you to stop, though.
Davis: We’re going to make it to Josey.
911: Where are you trying to go?
Davis: To 635 and RH Dedman. [He's heading toward the RHD Memorial Medical Center.]
911: OK you’re trying to go to RHD hospital or what?
Davis: Yeah.
911: Why don’t you stop so I can send police? Who did it? Who did it?
Davis: I don’t know who did it? [To the driver] Why are the [expletive] cars running lights? … Keep straight… Keep straight, man. Drive the [expletive] car.
911: Are they following you?
Davis: No, nobody is following us.
911: OK, so Where are you at now.
Davis: We’re about to get back on the Tollway and then go 635.
911: Were you on the Tollway when they shot you?
Davis: [To the driver] Just get on the Tollway…
911: Hello? Were you on the Tollway when they shot you.
Davis: Yes. No, I was on 635 when they shot me.
911: OK, so where are you going to stop?
Davis: I’m going to stop at RH Dedman in Dallas.
911: So you are going to go ahead and drive to RHD?
Davis: Yes
911: OK.
[Davis talking to the driver] Get in the right-hand lane. Slow down! I’m all right. No…
911: Do you know what color car the person was in that shot you?
Davis: It was a blue car
911: A blue car? Were they white, black, Hispanic?
Davis: I don’t know. I didn’t see the people in it.
911: Do you know why they shot you?
Davis: No, I don’t.
911: Were they just road raging or what?
Davis: I was on the highway headed home, I’m just driving on 635 headed home and dudes just opened up and started shooting.
911: What’s your name?
Davis: Keith Davis.
911: 635 and where were you at?
Davis: I was right by the Galleria when they shot.
911: 635 and the Tollway?
Davis: Yes.
[He then arrived at the hospital and the call ends]
