now that their super bowl run is over the bears must deal with...
starting WR Mushin Muhammed calling out QB Rex Grossman
"The quarterback has a lot of influence on a football game," Bears wideout Muhsin Muhammad, who caught three passes, told reporters afterward. "His decision-making, his ballhandling - all those things factored in the game
DCord, ST Cord, and WR coaching contracts are up
The head coach is the lowest paid in the NFL, going into his final season.
OLB Lance Briggs, LG Rueben Brown, NT Ian Scott, and DT Alonzo Boone are unrestricted free agents
Both CBs Vasher and Tillman want new contracts
Pro Bowl LB Briggs is looking at a minimum of 6 million a year and a franchise rate at 7.2 million. Briggs is being recruited by fellow Pro Bowl LB and former college teamate Pierce to go to the Giants.
have fun with that Bears fans

the Bears tagged Lance Briggs at 7.2 million roughly and it seems to have really pissed of Briggs' agent the anti christ Drew Rosenhaus.
Rosenhaus has leaked comments "Brian Urlacher money or else" this statement indicates he believes he can get 10 plus million a season for Briggs.
While Briggs has not spoken publically he has left some teammates feeling he will demand a trade and not sign the 1 year franchise tender.
The Bears could feel sorry for themselves but then they should remember exactly how it is they stole, another Rosenhaus client, Ogunleye from the dolphins.
To make matter worse Rosenhaus also handles RB Thomas Jones who really wants a raise now that Ced Benson has been exposed as a brittle mancontent that cannot be trusted in pressure situations.

Say goodbye to Lovie...
"We're not close, we're not encouraged and based on where talks have gone recently, Lovie will be a free agent after next season," Smith's agent, Frank Bauer, said. "It would take an unforeseen breakthrough for this to get done. And we are being more than reasonable in this market."
Take the above comments by Lovie Smith's agent as a STRONG indication that Mr. Smith is leaving.
If it is money Mr. Smith wants then I must use the following phrase/ movie title the Chicago Bears will probably watch as "Mr. Smith goes to Washington."
