the 49ers have released Taylor Jacobs 6'0 210 WR (the 44th player drafted overall in 2003) and re-signed 6'1 193 pound WR Bryan Gilmore.
whose team is it that collects Florida WRs? Jacobs is available?

Frank Gore BLAST the SF play calling and coaching?
"If you don't trust, you ain't going to win. We had Norv Turner [last year]; he's been doing this for awhile. Whenever he said something, we wanted to do it. Now I feel a lot of people when [offensive coordinator Jim Hostler] calls something, it's in the back of their head, did he call the right play? That's all it is.''
Background on why Gore and his teamates might not trust their OCord...
before taking the OCord job in SF Hostler had only ever had one other OCord job and that was with division II Indiana (the one in Pennsylvania)

49ers QB Alex Smith rips into Mike Nolan too
Smith was quoted as saying he believed Nolan was intentionall trying to undermine him to his teammates.
There is also a belief that Nolan pressured Smith to play before his shoulder was healed leadign to more serious injuries. The shoulder will require surgery in the off season, surgery Smith had put off to remain on the roster for the team. Now the surgery has happened.
This is now the teams two most prominent (and expensive) offensive players that have fired off at the head coach.

Mike Nolan building bridges?
A week after a back handed slap at Alex Smith beign unable to play with pain, Nolan seemed to praise his young QB...
Talking about Hill's naked bootleg for a touchdown, he said: "I thought Shaun did a great job with the little fake. It reminded me of the Seattle one that Alex came out with last year. I'm sure you all remember that."
Could it be the coach is trying to make nice? Could it be he is tryign to save his job? Or could it be that winning football games is the cure to what ails you?
I for one think SF should hold onto Mike Nolan, especially when you think how they are about to lose Mike Singetary.

the 49ers have fired Offensive Cordinator Jim Hostler
VP of Personnel Scott McCloughan has been promoted to GM
and Mike Nolan has been retained on his current contract, which has 2 years at 1.6 million each remaining.
it is believed that when a new OCord is hired other members of the O coaching staff will be dismissed.

Mike Nolan looks like a complete douche bag wearing the suit on game day.

Why? Any worse than Landry did? I don't think so. A coach SHOULD dress appropriately for a game. I think it shows respect. Why look like a bum like Bilichek?

I personally think it should be mandatory. He looks like a professional and not a slob like Belichick in cut off sweatshirts or Andy Reid in his winds suits pulled up to his nipples.
The suit is stylish and a classy thing.
The fact that his father also wore a suit and that nolan wears it in tribute to him really should make it distatefully unright for any one to say anything bad about it.
I respect why he wears it and I am glad he does wear it.

I respect the sweatsuit more becuase Bilichick has such a sound record, and I respect the suit less because Nolan has a shitty record. Landrey made something of himself and the respect he earned was not because of the suit.
I think of Landrey more for the hat he wore than the suit.
Jack Del Rio has tried the suit on for occasion, but I still dislike the jags, more so this year.
