Just wanted y'all to know that I am a Giants fan for the remainder of the season....I want the Giants to win the division (I cannot stand the thought of TO winning the division.....I want him to retire without another Division Championship or Playoff win.....I want his only SB appearance to be as an Eagle).
I also want the Eagles to lose the rest of the games.....maybe a 3-13 season will get Reid fired. Its either the players are not good enough or they are not playing to their potential. Either way, as the head coach and player personnel man in Philly, its Reid's fault. I know I will root for them every game because I cannot actively cheer for another team against them, but I still would welcome a loss every Sunday.
So as a Giant fan, do we have a special cheer? I know the Eagles one, and the Jets one (I became a Jets fan back in Rhodes' last year as coach.....Tuna was the man!!!)......how about the Giants?
Lets go Eli!!! Kick some Dallas arse!!!

Geez, is it that time of season already, the Clarke has given up on the Eagles again time that is. Seems earlier this year and McNabb is still playing.

If Andy Reid cannot influence his own 20 something year old kids to be winners how can you suspect he will raise someone elses to be?
I need Philly to play spoiler to other NFC teams so the Green and Gold get some meaningfull games at Lambeau this holiday season.
Dallas vs G Men for the NFC East who'd thunk it.

yes he is playing, but it is how he is playing that is a big concern.....I don't get it. When he goes down and they have to play either Feeley or Garcia, they start running the ball and let Westbrook win it for them.....but when he is playing LIKE Feeley or Garcia, they live and die with him and underutilize Westbrook. Makes no sense. Why is it everytime you see 3rd and 12 you know that we are going to throw a screen to Westbrook 8 yards short of the first down marker, plus, you are going to throw it high, so he has to slow down and wait for the ball and by the time he corrals it 3 LBers are hitting him? Or, on a 3rd and 4, we are throwing the ball downfield into double coverage instead of taking a high percentage pass? Or on 3rd and 8 we are hitting LJ Smith for a 6 yard pass where he has to lay himself out, sideways, to catch it? Play callling is worse than it has ever been. Time to fire the coach.
Even Ike Reese, longtime Reid player and supporter, was on the radio just an hour ago ripping the playcalling and saying he knew as soon as he saw McNabb's eyes after that 1st play fumble that it was all over. Said that McNabb gets rattled if hit early and rarely recovers....cannot recover. Somebody please tell Jeff Lurie that the fat lady is halfway done her song....time to start over with some fresh blood.....get Jason Garrett before somebody else does.

Upon further review
the resurgent New York football giants ~uhm
I am usually a Giants apologist, because I do like Eli but all the hype around their six straight wins and the talk of them maybe being the best team in the NFC is rubbing me raw.
Yes the Gmen has 5 in a row, yes Eli is being a better leader, yes Coughlin is a softer kinder soul, and YES their triple DE defense is formidable pass rush unit BUT
the 5 wins
Redskins 5-3
Eagles 3-5
Jets 1-8
Falcons 2-6
49ers 2-6
Dolphins 0-8
so a combined 13 and 36 record for the Gmens wins
all of those teams (except Wash) are teams the Gmen are expected to beat.
now as for the best in the NFC talk two teams are ahead of them Dallas and Green Bay. Both of those teams also beat NY; Dallas by 10 and Green Bay by 22.
Not to say the GMen are not a good football team, or suggest them are not a playoff team, because I do believe both of those are true. Lets just hold off on the best int he NFC talk for a while.

Eli's thick skin serves him well
Bob Glauber November 15, 2007
If I were to write that Eli Manning was one of the worst quarterbacks in history and that the Giants wasted too much money and too many draft picks on him, chances are he'd never know I'd said it. Full story: Newsday

I feel sorry for the kid every day of his career, because nothing he will ever do will be good enough because he is not his brother or his dad.
Honestly he is already done more than his dad. Whats more in his 3rd year as a start he should be able to reach 30 tds. So in 3 years he will have one while his all world brother has exactly 3 30 td seasons in 9.
Bet Eli wishes he went to Arizona or something where 3 playoff appearences in 3 years would make him an ICON

Yep...being the "little brother" is not all it's cracked to being.....
I almost never hear Eli's name w/out hearing Peytons name linked w/ it somewhere.....

If his name was Eli Washington he would being considered one of the sports rising stars.
His numbers in his first 50 games rival or better McNabb's numbers for his first 54 games. (EM/50 9869 yards DM/54 9835 yards EM/50 68 TDs DM/54 71 TDs)
He might not be the QB his brother is (few QB have the chance to play in an offense that throws that much and has two WRs that could make any one better than they really are) but Eli Manning has had success in the NFL as a young player.
