Why not the Giants? You will get to see him more often. Or would you prefer he was on the Redskins staff?

I know they are moving Kiuanaku to LB. Maybe not if these holdouts take place.

G- Men first rounder Aaron Ross signs a reported 5 year $13.5 million dollar contract with $8 million of that guaranteed.
Ross was 20th overall

Michael Strahan has not reported to Giants camp
Strahan stops sort of calling it a hold out, instead his agents is sayins "contemplating retirement" which in agent speak means holding out with out paying fines for missing camp.
This my friends now puts the New York Giants as the leaders in the club house for Simeon Rice in my opinion.
The Gmen can give Rice the $4 million plus incentives Strahan is pissed off about and release/trade Strahan. Sure they lose some run stopping ability (on a teams that already cannot stop the run) but they end the drama with their aging star. Some team would give up a 5th or maybe 4th rounder next year for a run stuffing DE of Strahan's reputation.

Osi Umenyiora has said
1. Simeon Rice is not good enough to replace Strahan
2. HE will NOT move to the left side so Rice can play on the right
"I am not moving to the left side," he said. "Absolutely not. It's not even a question."
the difference of course is the left side tackle faces more TE double teams and direct run plays. Umenyiora and Rice are both mainly pass rushers.

another wrinkle or two in the Strahan sage
1st Fox Sports has a TV contract with Strahan to do work for them in the bye week and possibly in the post season but the contract is only valid if Strahan is a football player in the NFL. No play no pay.
2nd turns out that Strahan's agent shopped him in the off season to toehr NFL teams with some success. Strahan refused to ask for a trade wanting to spend his entire career with one team. I assume the agent found teams that wanted to pay Strahan more than $4 million. My question, and I am sure the Giants question will be isn't that illegal under the NFL anti-tampering rules?

I liked this quote from Marv Levy
-- Michael Strahan says his failure to report to the New York Giants' training camp has nothing to do with money and that he has "doubts" about wanting to play for a 15th season and "When an athlete like myself who does with I do for a living starts having doubts, then it's time to take a step back and seriously consider my future." I go by the Marv Levy rule that a player who publicly contemplates his retirement, for any reason, "has already retired." That might very well be the case with Strahan, even though I believe he still has at least another strong season in him.
