The Levees are not 100%, the storm drains not 100%, the Army just flushed millions of pounds of mud and river silt into the ocean that was really needed to help raise the damaged areas.
I know that the millions of dollars spent on the Super Dome would have been better spent else where.
I know the Mayor of New Orleans is partying in New York, having a party with Hollywood stars on a yacht in the gulf, and now claiming that NEw Orleans is 100% open for business because he is a moron.
I think New Orleans would have been better off destroying what was left of the Dome, replacing it with public housing with the cat 5 insurance rating that storms bouns of off like they have all along the coast of Carolina's and California, and giving back some of the wards to nature. In a Cleveland Browns like move let the team go retain the name and start over with football two years from now.
I know New Orleans is still hurtingand you know New Orelans is still hurting but I am not sure the NFL or you mayor has a clue.

there is too much public housing down here to begin with. As long as some of these people have things handed to them they will never make the effort to make their lives better for themselves or their families.
The initial concept of public housing was to "temporarily" help people who were down on their luck and needed time to get back on their feet.
It was never intended for them to raise generation after generation of illiterate people who don't have the basic rerading and writing skills to get any kind of gainful employment.
And sadly that is the exact case here. And when i mentioned this once in an angry rant after Katrina I was called racist. Nothing could be further from the truth!!
Sure the NFL spent an ass load of money to help get the stadium back in order. Things are bad enough here as it is. Can you imagine what it would be like for us without our team here?
And maybe they have given us some false hopes for the rest of the season by starting out 2-0..........but it sure has picked up alot of spirits around here. I honestly think that come this Monday night we are in for a bigtime reality check as far as that goes.........but we finally have something positive to talk about.
I still think top to bottom our government on every level seriously dropped the ball on this one......

Considering the announcer could not even get his name right
DEFENSE: LB SCOTT FUJITA, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
-On what was certainly one of the most memorable nights in the history of the New Orleans Saints franchise, Fujita helped make sure it was a winning one as well, playing a major role in the 23-3 win over the Atlanta Falcons on the night the Superdome was reopened. Fujita posted eight tackles, 1.0 sack and one forced fumble in the win. His sack and forced fumble came on the opening series of the game, forcing a fourth-and-10 punt that was blocked by teammate STEVE GLEASON and recovered by the Saints for a touchdown and 7-0 advantage. Fujita, who joined the club as a free agent after spending 2005 in Dallas, was instrumental in holding the Atlanta ground game in check, as the Falcons - who entered Monday night averaging 279 rushing yards per game - were held to 117 rushing yards.
In his fifth season from California, this is Fujita's first career Player of the Week Award.
GOOD JOB SCOTT~ Dallas and KC were some dumb arses for letting you go

Sean Payton entered some pretty good company last week when he won the first 3 games with a team that had 3 or less wins the year before. In fact he is only the third coach ever. The other two Vince Lombardi in 1959 and John Fox 2002.

and into each life a little rain must fall...
Everyone has heard about the hot sauce ankle of Reggie Bush, who still has not been able to practice, but purhaps even more devestating is the idea that massive LT Jammal Brown and WR Joe Horn also might both be out this weekend.
