sorry Loan the Democratic Party already has suggested it, of course with them as adminsters not participants.
I just have a problem with the people of New Orleans asking for money every 5 seconds but they have the money to rebuild, improve, re-open, and sell out the Super Dome.
It sends mixed messages about the status of the state and the importance placed on the needs of its people.

Well Russia was supposed to be like that, but we know it never happened.

I am quite sure there are plenty of people still without a house whose entire neighborhoods don't even exist at this moment who had no hand in that. those are the people that need help. not the season ticket holders who apparently have gotten themselves back on track enought to... well... buy season tickets.
do not heap everyone into the same basket, being the point. all the seats in the superdome do not comprise the entire population of the greater New Orleans area.

Somethhing to skew the Dome being sold out are the cheap seats. The Saints redtributed the ticket prices, so the cheap seats could be bought (I think for $25 a game).
EO I do not want to take away from your message as you are right, there are needed people in N. Orleans, and the focus should not be taken away from that.

I imagine that some of the local BUSINESSES are buying up SOME of those tickets, and "gifting them out" in return for promises of business....or just as gifts to current customers....as many businesses do. It is a common practice...and, in the SAINTS case, a smart way to show people that they DO still care about the team.
Better ways to spend the money in the area.....of COURSE there are.....but we are talking about BUSINESS, man...BUSINESS.

still with out a house
whose entire neighborhood don't even exist any more
those are comments that are supposed to make me feel better about the fact that 20 million dollars has been dropped into the Super Dome and even more deposited into the Saints bank accounts through sell outs?
I am a capitalist to the core, a football fan, and a firm believer certain parts of New Orleans should be given back to the river
but even I do not think it is right that the Saints are back in business before Mom and Pop Lukanbill at the corner store.

how you feel about 20 million dollars being dropped into the superdome is not really what I am going for. I am just saying that there are people that are not a part of that whole process, who have far more reason than you, to be bitter about it all, who are still without their lives intact. THOSE people you should feel bad for, because they are the ones that won't be at the games, or at there house in their old neighborhood... or maybe not even an actual house, but still a trailer.
just because the dome sold out does not mean there are not people in need, being the point, EO. I respect you to death man... please know that. but from time to time, you broad stroke things a bit. that's all.

And yet...from the VERY beginning, NO's FIRST PRIORITY........FIRST PRIORITY, mind you......was to do just that. Getting the new Dome built was the #1 Priority....and was said so SEVERAL times on television news flicks.
