best case scenario wins versus ARIZ and Cle and a 7-8-1 season
worst case scenario lose out 5-10-1
probably a 6 win season OUCH

The North has a habit of sending 8-8 teams to the playoffs every couple of years or so.

What's that say about the rest of the NFC? Sending a 8-8 team as a wildcard reflects on the mediocrity of the entire conference.

I think he was referring to 8-8 as the NFC North Champion.
