just like with the NAACP thing if McNabb stays quiet it is one moron taking unjustifiable comments against McNabb, however when and if you address the issue you give it validity.
McNabb never let that go and he is not letting TO go and that is bad for McNabb as a QB and the Eagles as a team.
to me these are minor things which could or could not turn into a bigger issue but Jason Whitlock went on for almost 2 hours on this on ESPN.

Instead of saying "hey guys, we are talking about a book written by the biggest arse in professional sports and poorly written at that" he made a few jokes, which in some ways said the same thing, but he did it humoressly. I don't think you can handle it any other way when you know if you walked away from it the media would blast you for that and hound you the rest of preseason at the very minimum. This way he has addressed it and hopefully it will not dog him into preseason. Its over with now. It would not have been otherwise.

all I can say is you would not have heard one word about it from Tom Brady and none of this mess imagined or other wise would exist. The proper thing to do is not dignify it with an answer at all. It means NOTHING more than the rambling of an arse hole until McNabb gives it wings by acknowledging it.
His "play myself in the movie" comment was juvenille rhetoric not leadership
At some point McNabb has to distance and every time he addresses it in ANY way it is choosing not to distance.

This is getting ridiculous. He cannot win if he stays away from the comments and he cannot win if he responds, even if its humorous. You and Twitlock are grasping at things here. Listen to a real expert like Ray Didinger.

if he ignores the issue it dies and he does win.

only because TO was not gone
If McNabb wants to do himself a favor he will say look new season new questions I will no longer address ANY questions about TO or last season, other than with my play on the field.
That would be the smart thing, the leadership thing, and the mature veteran player thing.

you are right about Bloom he more than likely starts on the PuP and moves to the practice squad
we shall see about McNabb, all my thought are based on success or lack off success this year. It would compund if McNabb gets hurt again.
the Pinkston Brown deal is set but I think the Eagles collective as well as myslef will feel much better about those two guys as #2 and #3 more than #1 and #2.
to me the WR success lies on...Hank Gaskett, Jabar Gaffney, and Jason Avant
Gaskett is 6'4 220 and is a piece the eagles need because he could impose his will in the red zone. Gaskett has Javon Walker skills IF he can put it all together. I was HAPPY to see him leave the Vikings roster and the Norse.
Gaffney is 6'1 205 but has never lived up to his college billing. He is still young enough to step foward an be soemthing special. If he can reach the potential that made Houston take him #1 overall in the second round then he will elevate the passign game. I hear a lot of people saying his cousin (Lito SHeppard) is pushing the kid hard to step up which could mean something.
Avant 6'0 215 is dinged right now but he is a warrior that started 30 games for the Wolverines. Avant always seems too slow, a tad short, etc but the kid plays football well and stepped into Brylon Edwards shoes last year nicely. I hate to use another Packer WR reference but Avant has ALWAYS reminded me of Donald Driver. A scrappy dude that might not should be able to do what he does but none the less does it.
if one of those guys step up I could see the Eagles passing game stepping up from TO not down.
Still the Eagles MUST MUST MUST get more than 365 carries at 3.9
in fact they need something close to the San Diego 470 and 4.5 to win their division.

I know he did and I also know he should not have which was my point
the NAACP thing is a page 4 non-story if McNabb ignores, it instead he felt victimized so he complained and it made the ABC nightly news
McNabb made that mountain himself

Telling you dude, Brown will have about 75 catches this year with about 10 TD receptions and average around 14 to 15 yards per catch.

with out going back and looking for it I feel 100% sure you had much the same expectations of Brown last year, then you soured on him to the point of wanting him shot, and now you like him again.
Gaffney is a Florida WR he will always have problems with the play book.
I selected those 3 guys because at most 2 if not only 1 of them will make the team.

Fyi
Denver post is suggesting Philly is a finalist for a Ashlie Lelie trade along with Chicago, Baltimore, San Fransico, and New England.
Word has it Denver is looking for a RB or TE and a draft pick for Lelie and that a trade is immenent.
