Look....I can see the scenario happening. I HAVE seen it happen before. I was shocked and seriously outraged when Montana's team turned on him.....and McNabb is not the leader that he was....
We will see as events unfold. Until then.....we will just have to wait....

I understand all of that, but I am wondering what are we waiting to see? Nobody on the team is ripping him. Why does the fact that the media, and I will change the wording to be more exact, questioning his leadership (rather than ripping him, as that is an exaggeration) tell us anything. They are paid to create stories. Do we now believe everything we hear. When I hear John Runyan say that we are here to win as a team and McNabb is fine and everybody is behind him do I ignore him and listen to some bozo in Dubuke Iowa who is paid to write stories but has never been to Philly in his life nor never spoken to a single Eagles player? I choose to listen to Runyan (who, by the way is extremely candid and pulls no punches himself).
Offer me something other than agreement with EO, please Becks. You are sounding like a parrot. I have debunked everything EO has said, whether you agree with it or not, now offer something to me more than EO's thoughts.
BTW, I am not becoming outraged at all. But I tire of the blind comments with nothing substantial behind them. I understand what EO is saying, but he is going by old rumors from last November which every team member has said was BS and is tying it together with an questions some of the media asked him regarding a new topic, TO's book. Its a nice little argument he has, if only he was using good facts, which he is not. Mostly conjecture and supposition. But you are just parroting him. Please give me some original thought.

I don't think you have debunked him at all. And just because someone may support the current (and only choice for, at the moment, I might add), QB in front of the media, does not mean TRUE support....it simply means good politics. It also means good sportsmanship.
IT ALSO does NOT mean that, as soon as their is another choice out there.....that they won't shift to that other person......
It also does not mean that McNabb is GOING to do well as far as leading the team....(I think that he will not...and that in tight games will fall apart...leaving the Eagles w/out decent leadership)...another reason that they will eventually leave the McNabb quarter.
Again...only time will tell.....but this is the way I see events unfolding.
(and quit accusing me of not thinking for myself....it gets old.)

So Becks, what does it tell you?

you should not discount them too much
while they will take a mole hill and turn it into a mountain the fact remains they often have a mole hill no one else ever has.

Sporting News Radio also is very strong in the national light and do not play to one team or another. Nor do the have a East Coast bias like ESPN
Now if I said local Dallas radio was McNabb (which they are not so much as questioning his ability to lead) it would be expected.

Dude, I listen to it all the time and have yet to hear anybody rip him. Listened to Didinger this weekend sing his praises about how he has handled himself with this newest wave of accusations (in TOs book). Listened to Steve Martorano talk about how McNabb is the perfect leader....by example....did not get involved with the crap publicly last year because it would have been negative for the team. Listened to Anthony Garganto saying that although he (McNabb) should have said more last year, he understands that is not McNabbs way, but knowing the type of player and person Donovan last years antics will have no negative impact on Donovan or his performance....the only question he had was Donovan's reluctance to run more often, which was his and my complaint last year.
Sorry EO, but I listen to them all, and none of them are ripping him.

Debunked everyone of them with facts.
His teammates are saying the same thing they said last year, which is that they support him and its his team. Never have I heard any of them knock him for the fur coat thing as EO has suggested over and over again. Where are the facts? I give you quotes and you (via EO) give me conjecture.
And I will quit accusing you of not thinking for yourself once you start to(other than KC stuff).

Bruno called out the lack of maturity and suggested his motivation for addressing it was personal not professional
it is easy to say no one is rippign him because ripping him is probably too strong but plenty of people are questioning the choice not to let this die, ever even addressing the book, and makign attacks instead of just dismissing.

these are acctual McNabb comments
"This season was a tough season from the beginning," McNabb told the Inquirer. "People may blame it on just one particular person, but ... it's something that kind of spread in the locker room.
"There's never been a question of me losing the locker room until this year. If I've lost the locker room, then the question goes up why. Is it because now people are starting to look at me sideways for what I've been doing, or what I make, or whatever he had a problem with? That's the question I'm trying to get answered: If I've lost the locker room or not? No answer has come my way.
"But I do know the main reason we're not a good team is because we don't play as a team. Everybody has to realize that in order for us to get back to the Super Bowl and win it, we all have to play well together. You never heard anything like this coming from the Indianapolis Colts. You never heard anything like this coming from the New England Patriots. Baltimore, when they won the Super Bowl, they never had anything like this."
