Mark my words this is the begining of the end of the MNabb era in Philly 2 years tops

I remember that happening...remember being shocked.....even outraged on the behalf of Montana.....when the the team ultimately flocked towards Young.....
But I believe EO is right......McNabb is, most likely, on his way out.

not sure what McNabb is doing any different that has him not letting it go?

answering
every NFL player ESPECIALLY QBS get to give the media subjects they are NOT allowed to ask about, if McNabb was been the proper leader, the mature veteran QB, and focused on the future he would make it very clear that TO was the past and he is done with it.
McNabb feels slighted and is taking it personally this mess is as much now all about McNabb's ego as it is TOs and when you say that about your QB it is over.
comments like
"children's book"
"It won't sell unless he's talking about me, I didn't read the book I am waiting to play myself in the movie"
are not comments of a guy just answering questions they are immature jabs of a play ground bully that has just been bested by the new kid and is desprete to get the attention back.

especially 2 days before camp basically
the eagles have to forget EVERYTHING that happened in 2005-2006 to be ready for a VERY VERY tough 2006-2007
if McNabb is still smarting about TO he is not getting ready

McNabb is about to fall, it has happened too many times in much the same way. Namath was allowed to leave because no one wanted him around.
Look it is not that bad a thing to say but it is none the less the way of the world in the NFL.

you would be giving up if you did nto think it was wrogn so I expect that, none the less I beleieve it whole heartedly
McNabb's tenure as King of Philly is in the wanning stages
1st is the crap now
2nd will be distracted play
3rd some reporter ask (maybe in jest) if they got rid of the wrong head case
4th team turns on him completely
...
I mean it is not like McNabb is some 25 year old wonder boy; the injuries are stacking up, he is into the 30s, and he has less years in front of him than behind him. The end comes quickly for these guys when they lose the team it is pretty tried and true in the NFL.

Some seem to have the ability to hold a team together and keep their respect in SPITE of.....well...ANYTHING.....(Green, Favre, Bulger.....and even perhaps EO's friend, Eli Manning are QB's that do this for their teams)......others, well..............

Alright, I have a computer that types now, so I can respond. First of all, he is only 29 and will be for most of the season. Lets get that out of the way (and hint - hint, QBs tend to play for more years than most, so he may have another 7 or 8 years, so he is only midway right now).
2nd of all, I have seen no reports, local or national, that show any teammates talking poorly about him or snubbing him or turning against him. On the contrary, I listen to local sports radio in which I hear guys like Jamaal Jackson, John Runyan, Jeremiah Trotter, and to a man they say that it is his team and injuries were the only problem with McNabb last year and the locker room is still his. Runyan basically said that anything stated otherwise was made up by media for soundbites to get people to watch their reports. Also, a cohost of the morning show, Hugh Douglas, is still employed by the team and is close to many in the locker room, and he has stated that all is good over and over again.
On the health side of things, I saw video of McNabb at camp last week, and he has not looked that fit and thin since his 1st or 2nd year. Should be good for his stomach and his quickness. As for "injuries that are starting to stack up" he has yet to suffer an injury that is the type to linger and end a career. No knees or shoulders. He will be fine, and I suspect, with the improved receivers, overall (including TE and RBs), and his ability and Reids propensity to spread the ball around, his numbers will be the best of his career. I am sure he is on a mission this season, just looking at what kind of shape he has come into camp in.
On a side note, the reports out of camp is that Pinkston looks like he has never been injured....cuts are crisp and sharp and his speed, his biggest asset, is back. If that is the case then it gives us that vertical threat that we need, which can only help but to free Brown and Westbrook over the middle in the shorter routes, which they both can then turn up field and create larger gains, which, by the way, is the whole point of the West Coast offense.
Eagles are going to be a threat, as is McNabb.

McNabb only answers questions that are asked by reporters. He has kept quiet about him throughout this whole ordeal since TO imploded 16 months ago, tried to distance himself from it. Said nothing since TO was cut. Now, all of a sudden, with TO's new book out, and with all of TO's accusations, such as that the Eagles were going to bring him back after the suspension but McNabb went to Reid and told him not too, well of course, when asked about that McNabb has a right to, no, has to answer that. If he does not then everybody will assume that he is trying to hide and he will be blasted for that. No, McNabb has to address the issues as they are asked, period. And the only person that I have read that says that he is still dwelling on the TO issue instead of getting healthy and ready for the season is you EO. Nobody else. ON this issue you are so far off the deep end you are getting close to sounding like, and forgive me for saying this, Footballguru_A with his rants on Favre.
