if it makes you feel better Green Bay did offer a 3rd rounder
Gonzo, some other KC players, the Packers, and Gonzo's agent ALL thought it was a done deal that Tony would be a packer with in the hour.
Green Bay had the paperwork drawn up and on the way to the Commissioner's office when Carl peterson said NOPE we need a 2nd rounder to get this trade down.
at which part it all feel a part, because a TE that old is not worth a second round pick.
so Philly could not have gotten Gonzo for a 3rd, if it makes you feel better
of course the fact that LJ Smith is a top five TE salary wise, but no better than a top 30 TE play wise still has to cause MAJOR heart burn
I will tell you I am much happier with Al Harris than I ever would have been with LJ Smith
