Culpepper can read?
Recently asked about Randy Moss's comments that Kerry Collins was a better overall QB than Dante Culpepper Dante said; "When I heard that I thought Randy must have fell down and bumped his head I eman just looks at the numbers"
Kerry Collins
4th amoung active QBs ALL Time Attempts 21st over all Culpepper does not appear
4th amoung active QBs ALL Time Completetions 22nd over all Culpepper does not appear
4th amoung active QBs ALL Time Passing Yards 26th over all Culpepper does not appear
Collins 4 and 3 in the playoffs with 1 super bowl appearance
Culpepper 2 and 2 in the playoffs
Collins's teams have 45 wins since 1999
Culpepper's team has 39 wins since 1999
Now I grant Culpepper has had AWESOME years of late but think about this Collins did all that with out Randy Moss while Culpepper did all of it with him.
So Dante tell me again about the numbers?

Collins has been playing for how much longer? I mean Testaverde blows Collins numbers away too, but doesn't mean he's a better QB than Collins does it?

Bing bing bing! I was going to say that completions and attempts are the greatest of stats to stack up against anothers. Those stats are geared more around a career thing and offensive systems. Although yards, wins, playoff records are.

4 years 11,272 more yards or 2818 yards a season
not really suggesting Collins is better (hell some of his career numbers are better than Mannings so that woudl be silly to suggest) I am suggesting that MAYBE Dante should wait and see what not getting 1300 yards and 12.8 TDs a year spotted to him by Moss does to his NUMBERS before smarting off.
In theroy if it was Randy Moss that gave all those Vikings Qbs numbers (Cunningham, George, and Culpepper) as some people (including me) believe, Moss soon will put Collins out of reach of Culpepper for ever.
Seriously has he not seen the post Randy Moss NUMBERS Cunningham and George put up? It just seems like bad kharma for a 260 pound QB with recognition, ball control, and check down problems to be mouthing before he sees what losing Moss means to the offense.

That I can agree with. By the way I thought Cunningham looked good for the Cowboys. At the time I was hoping they would bench Aikman for him.

I'd like to see him struggle this year. Maybe that's because I'm a Packer fan though...

What do the numbers suggest pre and post Cris Carter. That was a great tandem (Carter and Moss).

I agree it was awesome prior to Carter's decline in 2001 (even that was a nice season)
Moss actually had his best season ever afte Carter left 1632 and 17 TDs in 2003.

I just did this for fun but...
if you subtract the 7829 yards and 73 TDs of Moss had between 2ooo and last year from Culpeppers career numbers it leaves him with
10,775 yards
56 Tds
now I understand someone would have picked up the slack in there and gotten some of that back but Moss's numbers represent 42% of the yards and 56.5% of the TDs
does nto indicate a spreading it around tendancy does it?

How many of Montana's and Young's yards are attributed to Rice?
