at this point, that would make the Redskins fourth, and the Cowboys fifth

Not sure how you have come up with that, since you've not played the Cowboys yet. It certainly looks like you could beat them, but that is why they play the games.

You said third, and the Cowboys are last in their Division. If you said tied for third, it would have been a little differant.
This was intended on messing with you. You can't compare the NFC East to the Steelers and say how they would fare.

I said at best they would be third.
And how can you NOT compare the Steelers to an NFC division that they are playing?
The Steelers have a really good defense in a really poor division and quite frankly a sub par conference.

Team composition, strategy, etc... has alot to do with your opponents. The Steelers play the AFC North, the Cowboys the NFC East. They meet maybe once every four years. You can draw some comparisons, but they are not all inclusive. If the Steelers had to play the Eagles, Giants, and Redskins twice a year, they would fare better and maybe have differant personell. The NFC Est is a tough division, The Steelers have the Ravens to worry about.

Re: Steelers Win thier Division
what I will say is the more game Big Ben misses the harder it is on Pitt
Bryon Leftwhich is as immobile as Brad Johnson, sure he has a better arm, but he is also just as inaccurate
Basically with Ben the Steelers have a smart, nimble, power QB
but with Leftwhich they have a poor mans Drew Bledsoe
Indy
SD
@NE
Dallas
@Baltimore
@Tennessee
are all very real teams that are good enough to give the Steelers 6 loses, even with Big Ben, with Leftwhich the Steelers are coin flips and underdogs in at least three of those games.
the other two games, Cinncy and Cleveland, look like gimmes but EVERYONE knows rivarly division games are never gimmies.
so it aint over guys, maybe it is close, but not over

Re: Steelers Win thier Division
I certainly do not think it is "over"... I am just razzing Josh a little, based on his previous stance that we were not better than anyone in the NFC East... just a little harmless trash talk... please do not mistake me for trying to start anything. just having a little fun. you guys know how it goes... you make a comment around here, and something happens that uh... I guess proves it wrong, for lack of a better term, you get it called up. just football fun... so it's all good.
man... we gotta do disclaimers around here these days... LOL...
don't want this to turn into that whole Browns thing from several weeks back.

I did not mean I like that at all,
I am just saying I will pay up when need be, but at this time there is still a glimmer of hope
I will take a Brady Quinn led team over a Bryon Leftwhich led team 100 times out of 100, if for no other reason than Leftwhich has proven he is a failure and Quinn is still an unknown.
Now Quinn is behind the 8 ball because the Browns are far behind but Leftwhich still sucks
