I still think other than maybe Grady Jackson, none of these players need to be real worried about missing playoff games

Re: NFL Talk
the NFL is using the possibility that both the Giants and Jets could host their conference championships to tinker with the schedule format
if both should happen one game will be played on Sunday night and the other on Monday night
a format they will no doubt adopt going further no matter whom is playing
turning the conference championships into a two night prime time money making fest.
The NFL might not be smart about some things (all those saints and vikes that have not been sent home for four weeks yet) but when it comes to inventing ways to make some dollars they are great

So what is wrong with playing one on Sat and the other on Sunday? A Monaday night match is not fair to the winner as it gives them a short week to prepare for a playoff game. The way to offset this would be to have the winner play another Monday night game the following week. And how do they handle the networks, where ESPN has been getting the Monday night games?

Steeler fans should never worry about the schedule. Other teams should worry about having to play the Steelers.

yes I think the idea of moving it away from the previous round and into the dead zone between the conference finals and the super bowl makes it better.
not sure how it will alter the plan to move the pro bowl to that week (which is a horrible idea how do you have an all star game with out players fromt he super bowl teams?)

Re: NFL Talk
Lots of times the SB participants call in sick to the Pro-Bowl anyway.

I think the answer is no, which is why they want to move it.

a lot more guys will call in sick if they move the game from Hawaii to Pasadena
they should go back to playing the college all stars or something
it sucks that the game means nothing to anyone
half the time I do not even watch it all

Re: NFL Talk
RHUTT RHO SHAGGY????
last night the NFL sent the NFL in 3d to four theaters in major markets
fans bought tickets to watch NFL games on a screen
Howard Katz the NFL VP of media and broadcasting then gave a quote...
"The NFL is committed to our CURRENT distribution partners, I do not THINK we have any intent of doing widespread distribution of our games into theaters or on a closed circuit basis."
ao what does CURRENT mean
FOX, CBS, NBC, and DirecTV have a contract until 2011
ESPN has a MNF deal until 2013
so the NFL has figured out a way to sell individual tickets to games OUTSIDE of the 100k seats in the stadium and we are expected to believe they will not exploit it?
I am not sure were this is going; me having to go to a theater to watch packer games or me having to invest more money in some new TV that allows 3D in my house, and then pay and increased fee to direcTV for it?
either way I am not liking it.
