seriously NCIS is probably the best writen show on TV, even if you do not like procedurals it is awesome on Tuesdays ~ which of course is probably why it is the #1 ranked show in America

NCIS right after it is kind of funny and LL Cool J is a much better character actor than I would have guessed. Not the original but watchable

As for V I might try it for a while but it has failure writen all over it, and it does not help to battle the NCIS rating juggernaught

V has failure written all over it, because fo the network that has picked it up. if it was on SyFy, it would soar. if it fails, it'll be a shame...

Yes... the series premier is January 22... so it's still on.

BTW, to reply to the "V is destined to fail" beliefs...you are right. You know why? Because NOTHING I ever truly like on network tv ever succeeds, at least lately. Fringe right now is defying the odds.

Does anybody else here watch "Deadliest Catch" or "Swords, Life on the Line" or the Lobster fishing one just like them (all narrated by the same dude)? I am hooked on these shows.

nah... can't say I watch any of those. always willing to give it a shot, though.

Fringe is indeed... VERY easily... the best show on TV. Period.

the network certainly did not help V gain footing throwing it in on a night versus 2 of the top 5 shows on regular TV

tell you what makes it look even worse is that NCIS reruns ranked #5 on all cable last week TV behind jets v dolphins. NLCS baseball. Hannah Montana, and Division baseball.

not just all viewers either, if you look at just African American viewers NCIS LA is # 3 and NCIS is #6

V has been done very very wrong by their network and the show has not even started yet, so I think you guys are onto soemthing

I dunno. I mean... its not great by any stretch. not "bad" either. just kinda average. I do hate how rushed the premiere was though... should have been a two hour premiere, so they could spend more time building the premise. the entire series premiere felt rushed. I have been watching it, but not because I felt compelled to come see the next episode... mostly just to give it a chance to grow on me. next week is the last new episode of 2009... guess we'll see what happens after the holidays.
