No, its the lies that CNN is telling us that kill me Rich....for months, according to CNN, the economy was in recession, we are headed to the worst depression ever, etc....now, 2 days after Obama is elected, there is no recession, no depression, the economy is fine....huh??? If there is no recession now, then there was none a month ago, a week ago, 4 days ago....and it is not because everybody is happy because Obama is being elected.
I will argue that much of the slide in the stock market is BECAUSE of Obama. The market operates on 2 planes....the first is recent profits and losses....the 2nd, is the future outlook.....and ever since it became apparent that Obama was going to win the market has LOST nearly 5,000 points. That is 33%!!!! Could it be that the investors do not believe that he is the solution. Could it be that they are afraid of what he is going to do to them? The market will not recover because they are not willing to risk their money in a country that is going to bleed them dry. That money is going overseas.

Re: Election 2008
Guess you heard that 68% of "the youth vote" went to Obama. Mygranddaughter called this morning to tell me she was one ofthem. I replied with this e-mail: The election of Obama comes down to this. Your grandmotherand I ,your motherand father and other productive wage earning tax payers willhave their taxes increased and that means less income. Less income means wewill have to cut back on basic purchases , gifts and handouts. That includesfiring the Hispanic lady who cleans our house twice a month. She justlost her job. We can't afford her anymore.
What is the economic effect of Obama's election on you personally? Over theyears , your grandmother and I have given you thousands of dollars in food ,housing , cash , clothing , gifts , etc. , etc. By your vote , you havechosen another family over ours for help. So in the future, if you needassistance with your rent , money for gas , tires for you car , someone tobring you lunch , etc. ... call 202-456-1111. That's the telephone numberfor the Office of the President of the United States .
I'm sure Mr. Obamawill be happy to send a check from his personal or businessaccounts orleave cash in an envelope taped to his front door. It's like this. Those who vote for the president should consider what theimpact of an election will be on the nation as a whole and not just beconcerned with what they can get for themselves (welfare ,etc.).
What Obamavoters don't seem to realize is that the government's money comes from taxescollected from tax paying families. Raising taxes on productive people meansthey will have less money to spend on their families.Congratulations on your choice.
For future reference , you might attempt toadd up all you've received from us , your mom and dad , Mike's parents and othersand compare it to what you expect to get over the next four years from Mr. Obama. To congratulate Mr. Obama and to make sure you're on the list for handouts ,write to:The White House1600 Pennsylvania Ave. NWWashington , DC 20500 Love you Lauren , but call the number listed above when you need help.
