Re: Election 2008
Top 10 Poorest Cities
What do the top ten cities with the highest poverty rate all have in
common?
Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn't elected a Republican
mayor since 1961;
Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1954;
Cincinnati, OH (3rd) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1984;
Cleveland, OH (4th) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1989;
Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican mayor;
St. Louis, MO (6th) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1949;
El Paso, TX (7th) has never had a Republican mayor;
Milwaukee, WI (8th) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1908;
Philadelphia, PA (9th) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1952;
Newark, NJ (10th) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1907.
Pittsburgh, PA (11) ... No Republican held ANY office in Pittsburgh for
65 years until two were elected in 1995.
Einstein once said, 'The definition of insanity is doing the same thing
over and over again and expecting different results.'
It is the disadvantaged (define that however you will) who habitually
elect Democrats --- yet they are still disadvantaged after all these
years! Imagine that.
Like Charles Barkley said: 'The poor have been voting for Democrats for
50 years and they are still poor' !!!!!!

Re: Election 2008
ladies and gentlemen we are now standing on the edge of history
either a man of mixed african american decent or a woman will be assuming an office level never before seen by either minority group.
Polls abound suggesting a run away win for Obama
but some polls peak at a much tighter than that scenario
I want to look at it different ways
The OBAMA way...
early wins in florida, penn, virginia, and north carolina cause some McCain voter apathy westward leading to a 361 to 177 or better win for Barack Obama
The McCain way...
early wins in florida and north carolina energize some folks westward. springing come from behind wins in close states like Indiana, Missouri, Colorado, and Nevada
this would put our friends Loan and GB Guy in the drivers seat because if that scenario was to occur it would likely result in the teeter totter of Minnesota deciding the election.
McCain would win 271 to 267 with Minnesota
Obama would win 277 to 261 with Minnesota
I will make one bold statement here...
IF JOHN MCCAIN WINS PENNSYLVANIA, BARACK OBAMA CANNOT WIN THE PRESIDENCY.
now I grant you the odds are low, but if some how some way McCain can pull PA out then the trickle west DOOMS Obama. Ohio, Florida, Indiana, Colorado all would follow PA into the red column
I hope I have encouraged Clarke, Loan, and GBG to go the extra mile in their states because believe it or not your two states have more control over who becomes President this cycle than ever before and possibly ever again.

Re: Election 2008
Hopefully those comments NoBama said about the coal industry will bite him in the ass in Penn, OH, WV, etc. You would think it would energize the coal miners, etc with comments about he will bankrupt the coal companies by imposing dizzying fees(taxes) to operate.

we can hope
hell lets hope the people in PA hate being called bitter and feeling like the steel industry and coal are threatened
and lets hope that hatred just flows down the lincoln highway all the way to Nevada.

I am starting my killing spree in Philadelphia in moments, as EO requested....have about 3,000 rounds of ammo and about 432 arrows for the compound bow....but I could not secure the explosives....sorry, it will have to be hand to hand combat following those things....but I think I can make a difference.....
okay, just kidding...I signed up to make some phone calls tonight....I can't do much more unfortunately due to work constraints....I am voting for some libs tomorrow morning as the polls don't ask for identification around here....making sure that Obama does not get those votes....

Sticking to Philly....much higher percentage of Dems, so the likelihood of me taking out a McCain voter by accident is much lower. Plus, it being the city, the population is very dense, so more targets per square foot. I could probably take out 50 to 70 votes per block, and pick up some more ammo/guns to keep me going longer.
Remember, make sure you get at least 2 before you get caught/killed, that way its a net gain for McCain...but since I have already voted 3 times for McCain, in this state and others, and haven't even used my own registration yet, its all good.

Ohio Coal Association Says Obama Remarks Make It Clear: Obama Ticket Not Supportive o
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov 03, 2008 /PRNewswire--USNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Mike Carey, president of the Ohio Coal Association (OCA), today issued the following statement in response to just-released remarks from Senator Barack Obama about the nation's coal industry.
"Regardless of the timing or method of the release of these remarks, the message from the Democratic candidate for President could not be clearer: the Obama-Biden ticket spells disaster for America's coal industry and the tens of thousands of Americans who work in it.
"These undisputed, audio-taped remarks, which include comments from Senator Obama like 'I haven't been some coal booster' and 'if they want to build [coal plants], they can, but it will bankrupt them' are extraordinarily misguided.
"It's evident that this campaign has been pandering in states like Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Indiana and Pennsylvania to attempt to generate votes from coal supporters, while keeping his true agenda hidden from the state's voters.
"Senator Obama has revealed himself to be nothing more than a short- sighted, inexperienced politician willing to say anything to get a vote. But today, the nation's coal industry and those who support it have a better understanding of his true mission, to 'bankrupt' our industry, put tens of thousands out of work and cause unprecedented increases in electricity prices.
"In addition to providing an affordable, reliable source of low-cost electricity, domestic coal holds the key to our nation's long-term energy security - a goal that cannot be overlooked during this time of international instability and economic uncertainty.
"Few policy areas are more important to our economic future than energy issues. As voters head to the polls tomorrow, it is essential they remember that access to reliable, affordable, domestic energy supplies is essential to economic growth and stability."
The Ohio Coal Association (OCA) is a non-profit trade association representing the interests of Ohio's underground and surface coal mining producers. The OCA represents nearly 40 coal producing companies and more than 50 Associate Members, which include suppliers and consultants to the mining industry, coal sales agents and brokers and allied industries. The Ohio Coal Association is committed to advancing the development and utilization of Ohio coal as an abundant, economic and environmentally sound energy source.

Re: Election 2008
But in exchange for your mining job Obama has a nice big fat welfare check for you and free healthcare that he is paying for by robbing the working man and his employer....redistribution of wealth at its finest....don't you love Socialism?
