Notre Dame News
6 foot 3 200 pound super star blue chip QB Jimmy Clausen issues his verbal to Notre Dame.
Clausen is the 3rd of high school phenom Qbs brothers to come out and by all accounts the strongest, smarters, and fastest.
This is a double whammy because not only is Clausen the #1 high school player of his recruiting class he is the most sought after USC prospect ever. USC had Clausen in Wed. but he still said ND Friday The most sought after high school player since John Elway.
Clausen tells the trojons no I am an Irish man WHOOT!!!!!!!!
Both of Clausens older borthers started at QB for Tennessee and both were MVPs of NEw Years Day Bowl games.
Jimmy already has the strongest arm of the three. He also has tapped into the knowledge of the older two, often watching game tapes with them to discuss coverages and progressions.
"I've tried to learn from everything they've been through," Jimmy said. "Things they wish they had done, good and bad. I'm ahead of a lot of kids because I've seen them go through everything in the classroom, in meetings, during games, studying playbooks. I've been around for all of that." Perhaps the best quality about Jimmy Clausen is that he realizes, even with his exposure to the innerworkings of college football, there still is much to learn. Even he admits he wants to work on his lower-body strength

2 last second plays called wrong in a row really
Leinart fumbles out of bounds on the the 3 and the refs spot it on the 1/2 yard line
then Bush aides a player into the end zone with an illegal push in the back or Notre Dame wins.
but that is OK Notre Dame had a nice bounce back season and really were not deep enough or big enough on defense to be ready to play with a UT, Ohio State, or maybe Penn State.
Next year however will be a VERY different story

next years college football should be veeerrrryyyy interesting.... texas and usc will still be good, but not powerhouses. ND and PS are definately top picks for it all this year. All in all there should be some very good games and some good conferences this upcoming season

Problem is, he has to be fine quickly....Notre Dame in week 2, and I think a tough opponent in week 1. No cake walk in the beginning like most years.

do not quote me on this but I believe you have the Akron Zips week 1 which if it is not a cake walk, no offense but you probably should zip on by South Bend.

Look at weeks 2, 3 and 4! Wow!! Then we get into the Big 10 schedule. That is a hell of a schedule.

Notre Dame and Ohio State in a 3 week schedule
La Tech usually has at least one VERY VERY good player and can never be taken lightly whomever scheduled them ias the meat in the Feista Bowl sandwhich did not do Joe Pa any favors. One thing I can say if the Lions start 4-0 they should easily be #1 in the nation.
ND~ Brady Quinn
OState~ Troy Smith
Mich~ Chad Henne
Mich State~ Drew Stanton
thats is a whos who of college QBs for next year
