I do not like 5'11 WRs not small and super fast, not tall and red zone deadly, and usually not special.
Lots of info saying Holmes only came out this year so he would nto be in the same draft with teamate Ted Glinn.
Other than the throwing and the raw speed Holmes can do what ARE did

this draft blows. I hate it. I hate Colbert. I hate Cowher. I am angry.
I don't mind Holmes so much, but in round 2, we could have gotten Youboty or Calhoun. we trade out of it, then draft Anthony Smith??? and THEN WILLIE REID???
I gotta go find that window...

you are OK with Holmes but upset with Anthony Smith?
dude Smith and Poofalua will be one of the best tandems in the league within 3 years watch
Smith has speed, hands, perfect techinque and unlike Youboty will not miss a tackle nor will he get hurt
Willie Reid I understand you disliking, I mean not one but 2 5'11 wrs
the Steelers seem to be in a little more panic mode about ARE than originally thought

Team Player Pos. School 1983
Pittsburgh Anthony Smith FS Syracuse
Gil Brandt's Analysis He has great ball skills and will fit right in. He will replace Chris Hope, and he is a very, very, very skilled safety.

okay... I just hadn't heard about the guy. I've calmed down and researched him a little, and I am liking the pick better now.

it is hard when there are big names all over the place and then a little known guy gets pulled. I understand Colledge is kind of the same to me but he reads well so i am a lot more comfortable. Unlike Smith I still think Colledge would have been there later.

I also heard that he plays special teams(kickoffs and punts)..so I guess he might be considered a replacement for Randle el in that respect.

you have to think Holmes and Reid were both brought in to make up for the loss of ARE.
